چکیده

UNLABELLED We report a 43-year-old female with the underlying disease of retroperitoneal leiomyosarcoma and initial presentation of ST elevation myocardial infarction. Coronary angiography showed an absence of coronary artery stenosis and a huge, ill-defined cardiac mass which was fed by both the left anterior descending artery and the right coronary artery. Coronary blood flow was obviously shunted by the neovascularized cardiac tumor. Right ventricle metastatic leiomyosarcoma was diagnosed according to her clinical course, images of echocardiography and computed tomography. In conclusion, we speculated that ST-segment elevation in electrocardiogram and typical anginal symptoms can provide significant evidence for myocardial ischemia caused by coronary steal phenomenon due to a right ventricular metastatic leiomyosarcoma. KEY WORDS Coronary steal phenomenon; Leiomyosarcoma; Myocardial infarction.

When a pulmonary embolism is not a pulmonary embolism: a rare case of primary pulmonary leiomyosarcoma.

Arterial leiomyosarcomas account for up to 21% of vascular leiomyosarcomas, with 56% of arterial leiomyosarcomas occurring in the pulmonary artery. While isolated cases of primary pulmonary artery leiomyosarcoma document survival up to 36 months after treatment, these uncommon, aggressive tumors are highly lethal, with 1-year survival estimated at 20% from the onset of symptoms. We discuss a ra...

Clinical Implications of Congenital Absence of Circumflex Coronary Artery

Introduction: Coronary artery anomalies are rare clinical entities reported in 0.6% to 5.6% of diagnostic coronary angiographies. Anomalous origins of coronary arteries from distal segments are rarely reported. Presented herein is a coronary anomaly in which the circumflex artery (CX) originated as a continuation of the posterolateral branch of the right coronary artery (RCA) w...

Abnormal Origin of the Left Subclavian Artery from the Left Pulmonary Artery in a Patient with Double Outlet Right Ventricle

Anomalous aortic origin of the left subclavian artery (LSCA) from the left pulmonary artery (LPA) is a rare congenital cardiac malformation. We describe a case of LSCA from the LPA via ductus arteriosus in association with a double-outlet right ventricle, which never has been reported previously in Korea.

Multiple coronary to left ventricular fistulae.

A 39-year-old female admitted with chest pain, dyspnoea and abnormal electrocardiograph (anterior T wave inversion) was referred for cardiac investigation. Cardiac catheterization demonstrated separate origins of the left anterior descending and circumflex arteries with multiple fistulae passing directly into the left ventricular cavity. There was no evidence of atheromatous coronary disease. T...
